I am very grateful to have landed this job fresh out of school. This place has helped me learn every aspect of the fleet since the work performed here ranges from heavy to line maintenance, so it gives everyone the opportunity to hone that special skill they may have, or make them a mechanic as good as the ability they have to learn more skills.
The hardest part for me has always been to not being able to fix something due to lack of parts or time. I take a great amount of pride in what I do, so naturally my greatest satisfaction is looking back everyday and knowing that I’m part of a great team that keeps planes flying safely.
Here, co-workers are invaluable. They help out by using experience and taking the time to train, which makes anyone more confident and willing to learn the trade.
Never had any problems with management, and I believe every decision that is made is for benefit of the company. So even if I might not agree to something, I know there’s a good reason behind it. Indeed.com, Username: Aircraft Inspectore
Loved the experience to learn more about the equipment and just the overall logistics of the UPS network. Learning the overnight air processes and learning to use and operate heavy duty equipment. Facebook, Username: Unknown
I worked at Eagle Aviation Technologies Inc full-time (More than a year)
Pros
Management was consistent with recognizing merit and rewarding it. Head machinist there is very talented, and machine shop in general. Engineering supervisor (V.P. Engineering) although seen as strict at times was helpful when needed and put the time in to support the engineering staff.
Cons
Often scrambling to compile presentations before big design reviews with customers. Occasionally unclear direction on project assignments. The technical work could be very demanding at times, but as said, hard work and merit was rewarded. – Glassdoor.com, Username: Former employee
