   I gave my boyfriend a Discovery Flight in a Diamond DA-40 as his anniversary present and we had an AMAZING experience! For only $99 we got a full interactive ground lesson/instruction and a 30 minute hands-on (bf flew the plane) flight in the DA-40 (a sweet 4-seater modern looking aircraft) Tim Fisher was our instructor who was helpful, informative and very laid back. He made us feel safe and also ‘in control’ at the same time. The entire staff was very helpful.

   In the competitive world of flight schools – Av-Ed rises above the others.

   I spoke with instructors and staff at Leesburg’s airport, and – based on availability – scheduled a flight with one of their instructors, Jacob. Young, knowledgeable, and eager – he was respectful on my abilities, made sure I was briefed on and understood the particulars of the airport and area’s airspace (well worth it), and – after allowing my a thorough preflight of the plane – into the skies we went!

   Calm and collected, he let me do all the flying – touching the panel only when it was easier (and I requested) for him to flip a switch or turn a dial. He put me through a good review of my skills (which were not perfect – but far better than I figured they would be) and he offered sage opinions on where I could do a little better in the future.

   The pricing was very reasonable, the planes well-maintained, and the staff friendly and helpful. And despite my years of administering flight reviews to clients, this was the first time I was on the receiving end; an experience made memorable and worthwhile by Jacob and the staff at Av-Ed.

   While other places at Leesburg make bold claims, do not overlook Av-Ed! They are worth your time and consideration! Yelp, Username: Christopher
