Beware! We had planned to stop over twice and had contacted a Mr.Harnagel who gave us information regarding fuel prices. The info was clearly deceiptful because when I attempted to contact him numerous times over a week by email and phone before our stop, all my attempts were ignored. He would not return my calls when messages were left or answer his phone. He did not answer any of the four emails. We had to reroute through two other airports but this saved us loads on fuel. There are other stops nearby with MUCH cheaper fuel and nice facilities. I recommend stopping in Hondo where avgas was $4.60/gal! Yelp, Username: Shelly B

I am 2 of my family members took the discovery flight at Skyport with instructions from our co-pilot Mary Schott. She is AMAZING! she was truly patient and answered hundreds of questions we had. She helped all of us with both the flight simulators before and after the flight. I and some of us will keep going back for more flight lessons from Mary. We had an awesome experience! Yelp, Username: Raka R

This place absolutely rocks! The last time I’ve been to San Marcos was about 2 years ago and all I remember was a crappy old FBO. This place is brand spanking new and absolutely awesome. I love the fact that they have a restaurant on site and the staff is super friendly. You have to stop here whenever you land at KHYI. A true hidden gem! Yelp, Username: Hans Z

‘m a private pilot. Yesterday I flew the required semi-annual six approaches in Skyport’s Cessna 182R full motion simulator with about a 160 degree visual system.

This ‘182’ is round dial, with Garmin 430 and 530 gps units, excellent King three axis autopilot (that talks!), an adf and seperate dme.

I was really surprised to find that Foreflight works in this sim!

I’ve flown a number of general aviation simulators, and this is the best. It’s a lot more realistic simulation than any desktop device. The full motion added more realism than I expected. I even got a bit queasy a couple of times, just as happens to me when flying under the hood.

Hand flying it is a little squirrelly, if you can paint the needles on this panel you’ll have no problem with a real Cessna.

The cost per hour was much less than expected. Roy the instructor was patient and knowledgeable.
